An interactive escape room for GCSE Math for drawing graphs from equations 3.2.2, aligned to the AQA GCSE 8300 specification. This resource also contains student pack and a teacher pack with answers.

The Drop is an interactive investigation room that teaches students how to draw graphs from equations. The festival’s laser show has been wiped, and every beam is stored as an equation, so students must redraw the graphs to rebuild the show and find the culprit.

Animated lessons show each graph being drawn by laser, and students can press a button to hear its shape as sound. They then practice with hands-on and interactive tasks, such as setting lasers to plot a curve, spinning a record to find angles, placing barriers at asymptotes and sketching “free hand. Finally, they type equations to load the lasers and watch their own curves play as a light show.

This is not your ‘usual’ escape room - this interactive and animated escape room that also works in offline mode - does not require an internet connection - but does require a device, such as a laptop or mobile phone to play.
