94-page PDF resource | Ages 11–18 | Grades 6–12

Bring a different kind of creative activity into the classroom with Cottagecore Ink Tracing Pages, a beautifully illustrated collection designed especially for older students who may have outgrown traditional children’s tracing and coloring activities but still enjoy relaxing, hands-on art.

Instead of starting with a blank coloring page, students work with softly colored cottagecore illustrations containing white outlines and details. Using a fine-tip black marker or pen, they carefully trace the white areas throughout each picture, gradually defining the cottages, flowers, gardens, woodland scenes, bridges, butterflies, animals, pathways, and other intricate details. The book includes instructions explaining the ink-tracing process.

How Ink Tracing Works

Students simply use a fine-tip black marker or pen to outline the white areas within the colored illustrations. As they work through the page, the black ink creates greater definition and contrast, allowing students to see the artwork transform through their own careful line work.

The activity encourages students to slow down, concentrate on small details, and work steadily through an illustration rather than rushing toward a finished result.

Why Teachers and Parents Would Love It

This resource offers older students a creative activity that doesn’t feel overly young. The sophisticated cottagecore artwork makes it particularly suitable for middle school and high school students who enjoy art but may not necessarily want a traditional coloring worksheet.

Use the pages for:

Art enrichment and creative activities
Fine-motor and controlled line practice
Early finisher activities
Quiet independent work
Mindful classroom activities
Art clubs and enrichment groups
Indoor recess for older students
After-school programs
Homeschool art activities
Screen-free creative time

Because each illustration is a complete activity, teachers can select individual pages rather than requiring students to work through the entire book.

The tracing artwork is presented with blank pages intentionally placed behind the activity pages to help reduce bleed-through to the next illustration.

The resource is licensed for personal, classroom, and single-user use, and purchasers may print copies for their own classroom or household.

A beautiful alternative to ordinary tracing worksheets giving older students a peaceful, detailed and creative way to turn soft cottagecore illustrations into striking inked artwork, one line at a time.
