Copy My Grid – EYFS Spatial Awareness Activity

A free printable activity designed to develop children’s spatial awareness, visual discrimination and positional language.

This resource includes three grid-copying challenges of increasing difficulty, using 3 × 3 and 4 × 4 grids.

Children are encouraged to observe the coloured squares and recreate their positions on a blank grid using coloured cubes or counters.

The simple My turn / Your turn format supports adult modelling before children attempt the activity independently.

Ideal for Reception and EYFS continuous provision, maths activities, small-group work or individual challenges.

Includes: 3 printable A4 activity sheets in PDF format.
