Full 1 hour lesson with PP, differentiated worksheets and tasks throughout and clip links.

Comedy of manners is a sub genre of comedy, so this lesson is designed for teaching Section C of AQA Literature B Paper 1B (Aspects of Comedy). The lesson is designed to improve students’ overall awareness of the genre, in line with AO3, AO4 and AO5 and encourage them to read other texts independently beyond the core text of ‘The Importance Of Being Earnest’.

However, it could be useful for any teacher focussing on ‘comedy of manners’.
