Colour patterns with cubes for EYFS and Year 1 (Reception, Pre-K-Kindergarten): 36 progressive pattern cards from AB to ABC for linking cubes, plus blank strips to create patterns.

Children copy each pattern with real cubes, extend it in the three empty boxes, then make up their own pattern and explain the rule.

What is included (13 pages, colour)

  • How to use page: get ready, copy, extend, create, and a four-step progression
  • Cards 1-12: AB patterns (two alternating colours)
  • Cards 13-20: AAB patterns
  • Cards 21-28: ABB patterns
  • Cards 29-36: ABC patterns (three colours)
  • My Turn to Create! blank strips with two colours (strips 1-4) and three colours (strips 5-8)

Cubes are shown in red, blue, yellow and green at roughly true size, so children can place cubes straight on the card.
