Classification means sorting living things into groups based on their features. A classification key is a series of questions about an organism’s features that leads you to the right group.

The worksheet has three questions worth 13 marks in total: a multiple choice question on the biggest of the seven main levels of classification; a fill-in-the-blank task with a word bank on producers, consumers, vertebrates and invertebrates; and a short written answer where students name three of the five vertebrate groups and give a feature of each.
