Six Christmas no-cook visual recipes for SEN pupils aged 7–16. Clear photo steps and four recording routes help your class practise measuring, assembling and communicating through purposeful food preparation.

AGE AND LEARNING LEVEL
Designed for ages 7–16, including secondary pupils aged 14–16 working at Early KS1–KS2 recording levels. These levels describe access and response demand, not chronological age or formal curriculum assessment.

No oven, hob or microwave is needed. Use ready-to-eat or already cooked ingredients; adults manage preparation, cutting and tins. Overnight oats need an overnight chill and a return the next day.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

  • A 75-page colour PDF plus a matching 75-page white-background PDF: two editions of the same 75-page pack.
  • Six recipes with ingredients, equipment, food-and-tool matching and numbered photo methods.
  • 24 recording sheets: four routes per recipe.
  • Reusable routines, worked measuring examples and six communication cues.
  • Recipe-specific adult setup, response guides, practical observation, next-step planning and a print index.

THE SIX RECIPES

  1. Christmas Berry Yoghurt Pot
  2. Festive Cheese & Pepper Sandwich
  3. Ginger Biscuit Cheesecake Pot
  4. Snowman Rice Cakes
  5. Festive Hummus Wrap
  6. Christmas Mandarin Overnight Oats

FOUR RECORDING ROUTES

  • L1 / Early KS1 / red: point, choose and communicate.
  • L2 / KS1 / green: order three recipe actions.
  • L3 / Early KS2 / gold: retrieve a quantity and explain with a word bank.
  • L4 / KS2 / dark blue: double a batch, justify a decision and evaluate support.
Adult reading, objects, eye gaze, signs, usual AAC or a scribe can support responses. Tasting and decoration are optional. Practical support is assessed separately.

FORMAT AND PRACTICAL USE
Print A4 at actual size. The white-background edition retains colour photos, symbols and level stars; it is not black and white. Printable PDFs, not editable files.

Photographs are AI-generated teaching illustrations, not kitchen-trial photos. The author has not kitchen-tested the recipes or trialled them with pupils. Adults must complete two local practical trials per recipe before pupil use and check actual products, allergens, texture, equipment, storage and individual plans.
