A KS3 careers project using Chester Zoo to explore jobs, workplace skills, teamwork and career pathways. Ideal for PSHE and tutor time.

Students look beyond zookeeping to discover how different roles contribute to conservation and a shared purpose: making a difference.

Includes an introduction, a linked “Working with Wildlife lesson and eight tutor sessions featuring career research, workplace scenarios, a conservation challenge and reflection activities.

Originally designed for Year 8, the project could also support other KS3 groups. Most research, discussion and reflection tasks can be completed without a zoo visit.
