Teach care home fire marshal awareness with editable PowerPoint training, trainer guidance, a learner workbook, blank toolkit forms and certificate.

Five PowerPoint files included

  • 58-slide Care Home Fire Marshal course
  • 36-page Trainer’s Edition with teaching points, discussion prompts and indicative knowledge-check answers in the notes
  • 17-page learner workbook with activities, reflection and a completion declaration
  • Separate 42-page Teacher and Trainer Toolkit
  • Editable certificate of completion template

Topics covered
Fire prevention, the fire triangle, the Responsible Person and staff duties, routine checks, alarms, calling 999, escape routes, progressive horizontal evacuation, compartmentation, individual evacuation plans, staffing considerations and extinguisher awareness.

The legal content uses the England and Wales framework. Trainers delivering elsewhere must adapt it to the relevant national law. The pack explains current full fire-risk-assessment recording duties and distinguishes care-home arrangements from regulations for specified residential buildings.

Generic toolkit forms
The extra toolkit contains generic blank forms to customise for planning, attendance, learner records, assessment, feedback and action planning. These reusable forms are not completed fire risk assessments, resident evacuation plans or additional fire-specific lessons.

Teaching and adaptation
For health and social care tutors, care managers and workplace trainers. Use the course alongside the Trainer’s Edition and workbook. Add the home’s own fire strategy, alarm arrangements, resident assistance plans, protected routes and reporting procedures. Age not applicable.

All five files are supplied in PowerPoint (.pptx) format. Main course and workbook covers are designed graphic pages; teaching text, activities and certificate fields can be edited. Microsoft PowerPoint or compatible software is required.

This digital resource supports awareness learning. It does not replace a suitable fire risk assessment, competent fire-safety advice, site induction, drills or supervised practical training. Course completion does not establish practical firefighting or evacuation competence or confer a regulated qualification. The certificate records completion. No delivered training or physical products are included.

Care Home Essentials: 5-Course Training Bundle

Save preparation time with five editable training packs for health and social care educators, workplace trainers and care-home managers. **Courses included** - Food Safety Awareness - COSHH Awareness - Falls Prevention - Care Home Fire Marshal - Moving and Assisting People Each course provides a teaching PowerPoint, Trainer’s Edition and learner workbook, with a separate editable completion certificate. The shared 42-page Teacher and Trainer Toolkit contains generic blank forms to customise for planning, attendance, learner records, assessment, feedback and action planning. The same toolkit and certificate templates repeat across packs; these are not five different toolkits or completed subject-specific assessments. Use the courses separately to suit staff roles and learning needs. Edit examples and local procedures, print selected workbook pages and personalise the certificate. PowerPoint (.pptx) format; Microsoft PowerPoint or compatible software required. Some cover artwork is graphic; teaching text and workbook activity fields are editable. Age not applicable. These are the same courses sold individually: check previous purchases to avoid duplication. Digital teaching resources only; no physical equipment, delivered training, regulated qualification or accreditation is included. Certificates record completion. Awareness resources do not establish practical competence. Moving and assisting practice needs a competent trainer, suitable equipment, individual assessment and current manufacturer instructions. Fire training must follow the premises’ fire-risk assessment and evacuation arrangements. Adapt all materials to current local policies and the applicable national legal framework.
