Alcohol and Caffeine Activities Bundle (US)

Students learn about the reasons why teens start to drink, peer influence, the effects/risks of drinking, alcohol dependence, and addiction. Using hot seating, two students assume the characters of Jess and Rochelle. Rochelle invites Jess to an after school gathering and Jess drinks alcohol for the first time. Jess continues to drink and on another social occasion, turns up already drunk. Rochelle posts videos of Jess when she is drunk. Students learn about caffeine (energy drinks) as a stimulant, the side effects of excessive consumption and calculate their own daily intake.
