Complete unit for BTEC International Level 3 Sport Unit 2 Careers in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry: 3 editable PowerPoints, 21 lessons + 3 assessment lessons.

Teach the whole of Unit 2: Careers in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry with confidence. This bundle contains three complete, fully editable PowerPoints – one per assignment (Learning Aims C and D are combined, as they share an assignment) – written against the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Qualifications in Sport specification (first teaching September 2020).

What’s included

  • Learning Aim A – Examine the organisation of the sport and active leisure industry and its provision in a selected country (6 lessons + assessment lesson): sectors and structure of sport, scope and provision, socio-economic and seasonal factors, who takes part and why, barriers and evaluation.
  • Learning Aim B – Investigate careers in the sport and active leisure industry (8 lessons + assessment lesson): job roles and career pathways, employers and types of employment, health and safety, employment law, safeguarding, and comparing and justifying a career choice.
  • Learning Aims C and D – Explore recruitment processes and reflect on own performance (7 lessons + assessment lesson): skills audit, SWOT and career action plans, CVs and letters of application, social media, interview skills, mock interviews, reflection and development planning.

Every lesson includes

  • 45 minutes of planned learning for a 50-minute lesson, with timings in the notes
  • Do Now retrieval, I Do / We Do / You Do, hinge questions and a three-tier exit ticket
  • Printable knowledge inserts – students stick them in, they never copy
  • Two-page research-note inserts (in class + homework) with MUST and STRETCH tasks
  • A real, sourced case study (e.g. parkrun, the Dubai Fitness Challenge, The Daily Mile, CIMSPA, the STAR technique, Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle)
  • Pass → Merit → Distinction model answers and practice on model examples
  • Detailed speaker notes with answers, misconceptions and questioning prompts
  • UK examples with suggestions for international (including UAE) classes

Assessment-ready

Each assignment ends with an assessment lesson that follows Pearson rules: criteria quoted word for word, independent-work conditions, an authenticity checklist and no scaffolds. Practice always uses model contexts, so students’ assessed work stays their own. Use with your centre’s approved assignment brief.
