Birds Colouring Cards is an EYFS/KS1 resource containing 6 printable pages, with 2 bird colouring cards on each page – 12 birds altogether.
The collection includes familiar birds such as pigeon, robin, magpie and kingfisher, alongside other recognisable birds for children to identify, colour and discuss.
Children can trace each bird name, supporting early handwriting, pencil control, letter formation, vocabulary development and fine motor skills, before colouring the pictures using crayons or pencils.
An additional bird overview page shows all the birds together, giving children another opportunity to colour the birds and trace their names while reinforcing recognition and recall.
The pages can be used individually as colouring sheets, cut out and laminated to create writing corner or vocabulary cards, combined into a simple bird colouring book, or displayed as part of a classroom wall display.
This resource is ideal for EYFS topics linked to birds, animals, wildlife, gardens, woodland, habitats, seasons, the natural world and Understanding the World, helping children recognise different birds and talk about where they might see them.
