LET’S PLAY runs down the left side of one sheet in tall hollow capitals, SWISH sits across the top of another, and the word BASKETBALL rests inside a scalloped cloud outline. The balls themselves come two ways. Some are plain, drawn with just the curved seam lines, small enough that two or three fit on a page. Others are full characters with round eyes, blushing cheeks, an open smile, arms raised mid wave, and sneakers on the ends of springy legs. The hoop appears with a backboard, a rim, and a net drawn as a mesh of small diamonds. A long flat ellipse below each figure stands in for the shadow on the court floor.
