Teach the future perfect through authentic communication and housing design.

This ready-to-use B2+ communicative English lesson introduces the future perfect simple through the engaging theme of housing and future living. Students develop housing vocabulary, analyse a floor plan, read an authentic-style email, discover grammar in context and use the target language in speaking, writing and creative design tasks.

Learners finish by designing an accessible home for a chosen client and discussing the features that different people may need, encouraging meaningful communication while developing practical English. The lesson concludes with an optional discussion inspired by Tonic@Bankhouse, London’s LGBTQIA+ retirement community.
