This half-termly unit is built around the Step Up to English topic of Keeping Active and is designed to prepare students for the AQA Component 1 Literacy topics assessment. It is aimed mainly at Gold award candidates and helps students develop and practice the skills required to meet the assessment objectives for Spoken Language, Reading and Writing. It includes a nicely presented adaptable teaching PPT and a set of teacher notes. Activities and resources are accessible and engaging; they are included in Word and PDF formats.
