Ancient China Lesson
Pupils will explore some of China’s most famous artistic achievements, including the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, silk production, ink wash painting, blue-and-white porcelain, and the symbolism of dragons in Chinese culture.

Students will discover how artists used colour, symbols, and materials to communicate ideas and beliefs, while learning about inventions and traditions that continue to influence the world today.

The practical activity invites pupils to create their own Chinese parade dragon using the included printable templates. Multiple dragon heads, tails, body pieces, scales, and decorative elements allow students to personalise their designs, making the project suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. A simplified colouring option is also included for younger learners.

Included:
• Ancient China art and culture lesson
• Great Wall, Terracotta Army, silk, porcelain and ink painting content
• Chinese dynasties overview
• Dragon symbolism and Chinese New Year connections
• Printable dragon templates with multiple design options
• Step-by-step project instructions
