Bring together everything students have explored with this Final Masterpiece activity inspired by Amelia Peláez.

Students create their own original composition combining flowers, fruit, animals, ceramics and decorative patterns, selecting and arranging imagery to produce a balanced and visually exciting final design.

The activity encourages students to apply composition, motif, pattern, balance, contrast and harmony while making independent creative decisions.

Includes learning objectives, six key vocabulary terms, a teacher tip, four-stage planning and drawing demonstration and a large final composition activity.

Perfect as the concluding task for an Amelia Peláez artist study, or as a standalone KS3 Art lesson, cover activity, assessment task or independent project.

Students are encouraged to take inspiration from Peláez’s bold decorative approach while creating an original artwork of their own.
