Unit 1: Children’s Development - externally assessed unit.

1 powerpoint has x2 12 mark questions each with case studies. 1 addresses the command verb ‘assess’ and the other addresses the command verb ‘evaluate’. Both have a writing frame, supporting students to structure their work/writing. It specifically states what to include in each paragraph and how these relate to the assessment outcomes and marks.

The 2nd powerpoint is to support students ‘discuss’ for 9 mark questions. The ‘what, why and how map’ helps students to plan their answer before tackling the x5 'discuss questions. I have also given a model answer for one of the 5 questions, based on ‘poverty’.
