This opening lesson aimed at A-Level introduces the main context for Tennessee William’s play A Streetcar Named Desire. It allows opportunities for independent research as well as shared discussion as a class. Full Powerpoint and Word doc included for the students to make notes on the contextual information. From experience of teaching this content, it takes up to 3 average length lessons to complete in detail.
