First lesson of a Year 8 scheme of working covering the development of democracy in the UK. The scheme looks to the influences of the US and French revolutions and charts the impact they had on reforms in Britain during the C19th. First lesson looks at the origins of Parliament. Please note, scheme of work and lesson assumes that students already have some knowledge / have studied the Magna Carta and power of the monarchy.
