An assembly and tutor time session on sexting and sharing nudes for KS4 and KS5, following one image as it moves through a group chat over a weekend.

Sexting means sending or receiving nude or sexual images, which official guidance calls sharing nudes and semi-nudes. The assembly shows how one private photo spreads, one decision at a time, from a screenshot to a group chat of thirty people. It covers what the law says about keeping or sending on a nude of someone under 18, why an image you didn鈥檛 ask for isn鈥檛 your fault, and the difference between unkind, against school rules and against the law.

The tutor time session puts students inside one phone at the moment an image reaches them. They work through realistic choices, from the group chat to a friend asking for a copy and the person in the photo asking if it鈥檚 everywhere. It works as a follow-up to the assembly and also on its own.

What鈥檚 included:
Assembly presentation with full speaker notes (about 15 minutes)
Tutor time presentation with full speaker notes (15 to 20 minutes, no printing needed)
Teacher notes with timings, slide-by-slide guidance, the law in brief and a full list of sources
Editable slide in each session for your school鈥檚 reporting process
Help outside school: Childline, Report Remove and CEOP

The legal content applies to England and Wales and has been checked against current CPS, DfE and UKCIS guidance. The resource supports the statutory RSHE guidance (2026). All scenarios are fictional, and students are never asked about their own experiences.

A PSHE lesson, THE CHAIN: Sexting, Nudes and the Law, is also available, or you can buy all three together in the THE CHAIN collection.
