Five English Language Paper 1 2026 update practice exam questions with AQA GCSE Language exam structure for Paper 1 (Paper 1: Explorations in Creative Reading & Writing) Section A and Section B (specification number 8700/1).

Please note: due to copyright restrictions, the exact exam questions cannot be presented in this resource because the specific questions is owned by AQA. The questions presented in this resources uses an alternative wording but focuses on the same skills.

Practice exam papers in the style of GCSE AQA English Language.

The materials consist of five paper 1 English Language exam questions each with a different original source. The sources are different for each paper and have been created specifically for this resources. Consequently, there are no copyright issues and you can be sure the source has not been used in an exam paper.

These practice exam question papers use the updated AQA GCSE English Language Paper 1 format that is first examined in summer 2026.

The pack includes:

  • 5 AQA GCSE English Language Paper 1 style practice exam question papers.
  • 5 Paper 1 original fiction sources. The sources have been created for this source and have not been used in any other publication or exam paper.
  • A student Paper 1 creative writing planning sheet with a useful and easy to remember mnemonic.
