A winter reading log and reading challenge for Year 2 to Year 6 (KS1 and KS2) that motivates pupils to keep reading for pleasure all winter long, at school and at home.

Children track their reading on a bingo log, write short responses to the books they finish and earn bronze, silver and gold certificates. The family letter makes it easy to run as a home reading challenge over the Christmas holidays or the spring term. Pupils record the books they choose themselves, so the same log works for early readers and confident Year 6 readers alike.

  • Quick book response pages: favourite part, new word, characters, problem and solution and more
