Lesson Overview
★ Starter: Recap the four countries of the United Kingdom and zoom in on Wales. Students share what they already know before exploring key vocabulary such as capital city and landmark.
★ Main: Introduce Cardiff, Snowdon, Welsh landmarks and the Welsh language using images and map work. Students design a postcard “from Wales,” drawing a landmark and writing 2–3 descriptive sentences, with support and challenge options included.
★ Plenary: True or False quiz using the PowerPoint. Students show thumbs up or down and finish by sharing one new fact they learned about Wales.
