Valentine’s Day Maths Colour by Number is a set of 10 order of operations (BODMAS) colouring pages for Year 6-7 (upper KS2 to KS3). Pupils solve each expression, find the result in the colour key and reveal a Valentine’s Day picture one section at a time.

This is a calm, self-checking way to practise BODMAS in February. Pupils work inside brackets first, then multiply and divide from left to right, then add and subtract from left to right. Areas without a calculation stay white. The same checked set of 15 expressions repeats across the scenes, so pupils get extra practice without extra reading.

What is included (10 pages, black and white colouring pages)

  • 10 different Valentine’s Day scenes to colour: bear hugs, a post office, a kindness garden, hearts across the sky, a love letter train, a friendship bakery, a kindness castle and more
  • 14 to 15 expressions on each page
  • A colour key on every page (results 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15)
  • Brackets, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction (no indices)

No answer key pages are included.

Ways to use

  • Maths centres and early finishers around 14 February
  • Review days and cover lessons
  • A fun end-of-week maths task
  • Home education or homework practice
  • Mixed ability practice: pupils work at their own pace

Note: pages are headed “Math, Grades 5-6, which matches Year 6-7.

PDF, US Letter (choose “Fit to page to print on A4). English.
