Two AQA English Language Paper 2 GCSE 2026 mock papers, each with original paired sources, Q1–Q5, indicative content, model responses and an editable classroom walkthrough PowerPoint.

The first mock pairs a 2025 report on Australia’s social media ban for children under 16 with a 1931 newspaper report on Prohibition in America. Students compare the aims, public reactions and consequences of the two government bans before responding to a linked article-writing task.

The second mock pairs a 2025 article about commercial space tourism with an 1852 newspaper column on hot-air ballooning. Students compare the experiences, viewpoints and concerns surrounding human flight before responding to a linked article-writing task.

Each PowerPoint has been written specifically for its accompanying mock paper. The slides guide students through the paired sources and questions, with clear line references, vocabulary support, comparison points, language analysis, response guidance and model answers.
