  • Rather than a video question packet, I created constructed response questions to help introduce students to this type of question as well as an essay prompt that asks students to really synthesize the concepts in the film and from this time period
  • Uses outside information about the Meiji Restoration to tie the film into an Industrialization unit
  • After students complete the CRQ there is an essay question that connects the film itself to the concept of Westernization, these assignments can easily be split up although they are packaged on one PDF
  • I have used this assignment to keep students on task while watching the film and as a final synthesis project after viewing the film.
