A grade 9 full mark response to the AQA June 2026 question about responsibility in An Inspector Calls. I focused solely on Mrs Birling for this response to avoid spreading myself too thinly by trying to cover multiple female characters. The response is comprehensive and longer than what could be realistically produced in a 45 minute exam situation but I try and cover a wide range of ways of how to write about the paradoxical Mrs Birling to a high standard.
