This resource is a 3 week teaching sequence for the book Ocean Meets Sky by The Fan Brothers.

It fits well into the Y2 curriculum with links to pirates and the sea. It also has good links to PSHE, addressing topics such as grief.

It teaches children how to write:
-Diary entry, instructions and a captain’s log

All learning is heavily supported with colourful semantics and visuals (widgit) making this a very inclusive unit.
