A practical mud kitchen communication book for autistic and neurodivergent learners, using Core Words and Colourful Semantics to support meaningful language during digging, scooping, mixing, pouring and shared play.

It brings together carefully selected vocabulary for Core Words, WHO, WHAT DOING, WHAT, WHERE and WHAT LIKE?, using the Colourful Semantics framework to help adults model language within real play experiences.

The book includes six communication sections covering Core Words, WHO, WHAT DOING, WHAT, WHERE and WHAT LIKE?

It can be used in mainstream classrooms, specialist settings, autism provision, early years environments and at home.

Created by Alison Garza, Specialist Teacher and founder of Elevating Neurodiversity, drawing on almost 20 years in education and specialist experience supporting autistic learners.
