Bring one of Lower Key Stage 2’s most exciting science topics to life with this engaging, interactive and curriculum-linked class assembly.

When the school’s special Sound Display mysteriously disappears before assembly, a group of Year 3 and Year 4 pupils sets out to solve the mystery. As they search through the school, they meet a colourful cast of characters—including scientists, musicians, librarians and road safety experts—who each reveal a new clue about how sound works. Along the way, the children discover how vibrations create sound, how pitch and volume change what we hear, why listening is an important life skill and how to protect their hearing.

Designed specifically for Lower Key Stage 2, this ready-to-perform assembly combines exciting storytelling with engaging scientific learning, helping pupils understand the science of sound while encouraging careful listening, teamwork and curiosity.
