A powerpoint presentation and set of resources to introduce some of the French-speaking countries, adaptable to enable substitution of alternative countries and able to be used both as a stand-alone context and as a spring-board for application of grammar knowledge (gender) in a number of contexts e.g. geographical location, climate, transport, personal identification etc.
Th powerpoint offers a carefully structured lesson or set of lessons (depending on how much use the teacher wants to make of the resources and cross-curricular opportunities), which will enable pupils to understand, recognise and read aloud the words for some French-speaking countries, as well as developing dictionary skills to find gender identifiers.
Each resource comes with notes and suggestions for use (notes are also given on individual slides in the powerpoint) and some are differentiated. Most suitable for KS2/lowerKS3
