• This teaching resource explains the work of Professor Elaine Power from Queen’s University in Canada and the Hungry Stories team. Elaine founded Hungry Stories to share not just the facts about food insecurity, but the real human experiences and emotions behind them too.

• This resource also contains an interview with Chloe Halpenny, a PhD student in the Hungry Stories team, and offers an insight into careers in arts-based knowledge mobilisation. If your students have questions for Elaine, Chloe or the Hungry Stories team, they can send them through the Futurum Careers website.

• The activity sheet provides ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Elaine’s research and challenges them to create an arts-based campaign for change.
