A complete 3-week Higher French teaching pack on family relationships, with 9 ready-to-teach lessons covering reading, translation, talking and writing.

Designed specifically for teachers delivering Higher French in Scotland, this complete unit provides a structured three-week sequence for teaching family relationships within the Society context.

The pack contains 9 fully planned 50-minute lessons designed to move pupils beyond personal description towards the more sophisticated language, analysis and argument expected at Higher.

Particular attention is given to reading and translation, sustained discussion and discursive writing, helping pupils develop skills relevant to Higher Modern Languages assessment while remaining firmly grounded in meaningful classroom learning.

Lessons can be taught as a complete three-week unit or individual activities can be incorporated into an existing Higher course.

All pupil texts and activities are independently authored. The resource has been developed with reference to the current Higher Modern Languages framework in Scotland but is not an official Qualifications Scotland resource and is not endorsed by Qualifications Scotland.
