The focus of the poems is on the environment and would be a great addition to the curriculum for a school’s ‘green week’.

I have made reference to Edexcel AOs but you can easily swap them out for your exam board.

The poems are accessible for any ability group but allow for deep analysis and discussion. I have also included an extension activity for independent writing.

You can teach this as a comparison lesson or split the content in half to teach them as two unseen poems.
