These French Task Cards are a versatile and fun way to get your students practicing their French!

There are 80 task cards in all.

16 x Present tense
16 x Past tense
16 x Future tense
16 x Imperative tense
16 x “Écrivons” – (these ones are general writing topics based on the cards’ pictures)

WAYS TO USE the Task Cards:

I have used the task cards for both oral and written activities.
For ORAL activities, I divide students into partners and give each pair a card. The students are responsible for discussing (in French of course!) what they would like to say about their topic (writing down notes is helpful). After they have had some time to prepare, they show their card and read / present to another set of partners.

For WRITTEN activities, you can get students to work in pairs or individually. The task cards are then used as prompts for students to practice their writing. At the end, you can ask students to present or submit their writing to you.

The task cards range in difficulty with the PRESENT TENSE ones being the easiest. If you are looking for a longer composition, the “ÉCRIVONS” or “LE PASSÉ” cards are better choices.

I hope you enjoy the Task Cards and that your students have fun with them!

Happy French Teaching! :)
