A fully resourced 50–60 minute lesson designed for KS3/4 History, introducing students to the world Henry VII inherited in 1485 and providing essential context for the Tudor period.

This resource includes an original interactive presentation that can be used as a whole-class introduction to a Henry VII topic or as an independent pupil research tool, helping students understand the political, social, economic, and international challenges facing England at the start of Tudor rule.

The lesson is built around five key areas of study:
Royal Authority – the impact of the Wars of the Roses, noble power;
Rule of Law – justice, local government, and Richard III’s reforms;

Social Change – population, enclosure, vagabonds, and social hierarchy;
