This booklet can be used as a guide to support students studying the new AAQ BTEC Applied Science course in writing up task 1 of version 1 of the briefs put out by Pearson, which is focused on climate change.

Pearson require students to understand how climate change occurs, what the social, economic and environmental impacts are, and require them to choose two scientific developments, analyse and evaluate them.

To support students, this booklet includes:

  • A key terminology definition list for students to fill in
  • Diagrams for students to describe e.g. the greenhouse effect
  • Trend graphs for students to analyse
  • Table鈥檚 students can use to compare the effects of climate change and elements of their chosen developments
  • A reference list with a source hierarchy

The booklet can be printed in A4/A3 or edited by students on a computer by simply removing the lines.
