Gentle, judgement-free SEN/ADHD emotional regulation toolkit helping young people name overwhelming feelings and find coping strategies that work.

Designed for young people with ADHD or SEN needs who experience overwhelming thoughts and emotions, this toolkit offers a low-pressure, supportive way to process feelings without judgement. It includes a no-pressure “get it out” writing space for unfiltered thoughts, a step-by-step “untangle it” section to help name feelings and identify underlying needs, tailored coping strategies for different emotional states, a low-demand “I can’t do this right now” page for moments when regulation itself feels like too much, and a reflective log to track what helps over time.

Ideal for pastoral support, tutor time, SEN intervention sessions, or as a take-home resource for continued use outside the classroom.

Covers: emotional regulation, feelings identification, coping strategy selection, low-demand support, self-reflection and tracking.

Created by someone with lived experience of ADHD and SEN, drawing on personal experience, teaching experience, and approaches informed by DBT and CBT techniques. A genuinely empathetic resource built from real understanding of what overwhelm feels like — not just theory.
