The original and still the best! For a fifth year running, our heads of department have been hard at work to create a series of predicted exams for Summer 2026!

Questions increase in difficulty across both papers, with a mix of matching and definition tasks, structured short answer, data interpretation, calculations and 6-mark extended response questions .

All questions are completely original and have been designed from scratch. There has been no reuse of previous exam questions.

This is for the following papers: 8464/B/1H and 8464/B/2H

For Biology Paper 1H:

The paper covers the following specification areas:

4.1 Cell Biology - cell structure, microscopy and magnification, mitosis, differentiation, active transport
• 4.2 Organisation - digestive enzymes, coronary heart disease, lifestyle risk factors, cancer, plant tissues
• 4.3 Infection and Response - human defence systems, antibiotics and resistance, drug development and clinical trials
• 4.4 Bioenergetics - anaerobic respiration and fermentation, aerobic vs anaerobic energy transfer, uses of glucose, the role of nitrate ions

Includes: Question paper and full mark scheme with level descriptors and exemplar responses for all 6-mark questions.

For Biology Paper 2H:

The paper covers the following specification areas:

• 4.5 Homeostasis and Response - the nervous system and reflex arcs, reaction time investigations, comparing nervous and endocrine coordination, hormones in human reproduction, the menstrual cycle, IVF and evaluating fertility treatment
• 4.6 Inheritance, Variation and Evolution - genetic terminology, Punnett squares and probability, inherited disorders, mutation and enzyme function, gene therapy and the role of vectors, natural selection and antibiotic resistance, classification
• 4.7 Ecology - sampling techniques, food chains and interdependence, factors affecting distribution of species, deforestation, global warming, the carbon cycle and biodiversity conservation

Includes: Question paper and full mark scheme with level descriptors and exemplar responses for all 6-mark questions.
