Grounded in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and current safeguarding research, this course builds an “it could happen here” culture of professional curiosity. Covers why behaviour change is often a child’s first form of disclosure, broad categories of change worth noticing, bullying- and home-life-related signs (kept at a protective, pattern level), the “could be nothing, but…” reporting principle, and safe recording and escalation practice.
