Same pictures for Foundation and Higher tier. Instructions as appropriate in AQA style. The teacher’s notes section includes 12 possible questions for Foundation and 15 possible questions for Higher tier.

Questions in the past and present tenses have been included to make sure that candidates can showcase a range of structures.

1. worksheet to work in pairs in class or to set as cover work.

This worksheet helps students reflect on their answers and also on what extended sentences are, while facilitating learning from their peers and practising a range of “unprepared” questions.
Part 1
Students A and B will only be able to see one of the photos from Card A.
They will write their notes in the spaces provided following the popular PALMA mnemonic for describing a Spanish photo (People, Action, Location, Mood, and Added detail). Then they will describe the picture that can be seen on their sheet, while the other Student will listen and write down what they hear (dictation) and draw the picture of what they have understood.
Part 2
Students will prepare extended answers. This activity will help them gain confidence in their answers in the future as the more questions they are exposed to and practise, the better their spontaneous answers will become.
The 12 or 15 questions from the teacher’s version have been split between the two students. They will prepare their answers and help each other extend their answers further.
Finally, students can practise questions and answers in pairs
