This lesson contains:

• A recap video about the importance of the Declaration of Independence.
• An activity to read about the war itself and answer some comprehension questions from the board. The information sheet covers the main battles and the culmination of the conflict at Yorktown and the Treaty of Paris 1783.
• A walk through recap using animations on the board about Yorktown.
• A few interesting slides dealing with post-war, the interesting half-completed portrait and the changes to the American map.
• An opportunity for the students to find out about the consequences of the revolution and war through the statements of 2 historians; one is negative and one is positive. There are follow up questions on this worksheet.
• A plenary to review the learning from the lesson.
