This lesson contains:

  • A task that starts by studying the changes and continuities in English towns and villages. Students start with villages and then go onto towns. In doing so, and if you are reading along with them, they will first document the continuities.
  • A follow up task for the students to look through again and chart the major changes. This is done on a chart organiser where they make brief notes under either positive/negative and then short/long term. And they do this for the best 5-7 pieces of information. This should help them when they come to do a paragraph on this, if needed, in the main exams.
  • A question that requires them to process what they have learned and practice a 16 mark-style question.
