Turn quiet students into confident, thoughtful speakers, one scripted lesson at a time.

Debate Club Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off. Over 12 more weeks (Weeks 13–24), students move from basic arguments to real debating techniques: challenging weak ideas, showing evidence, persuading with stories, and knowing when an argument is worth having. It ends with The Great Debate Challenge.

Every lesson is fully scripted, word for word, so any teacher can pick it up and teach. You don’t need any debate experience.

What students learn

Week 13: Asking powerful questions to explore any topic
Week 14: Scripted debates and how a real debate flows
Week 15: Speaking style, with clear, confident voices
Week 16: Strong vs weak arguments
Week 17: Challenging an idea and explaining why it won’t work
Week 18: Speaking with confidence, using a 3-phrase toolkit
Week 19: Why debate matters in real life
Week 20: Facts, feelings and storytelling (logos, pathos and ethos)
Week 21: Show Your Receipts, using evidence and proof
Week 22: The Judo Move and Lost in Translation
Week 23: Pick Your Battles, and knowing when to debate
Week 24: The Great Debate Challenge, with printable certificates

Every week includes

A word-for-word teacher script, in clear “SAY THIS boxes
A one-page Teacher Quick Card
A Skill of the Week notebook task, with clear START and STOP WRITING markers
A pair or small-group class activity
A model answer straight after every question
Support and challenge ideas for younger and older students
Extra motions for fast finishers
A short-on-time plan, plus an option to split the lesson over two sessions
A printable student worksheet and a separate teacher answer key
A fun homework sheet, with a Teacher & Parent guide and model answers

Plus printables: scripted debates with roles and stage directions, debate prompt cards, scaffold cards, team cards, and certificates of achievement.
