Develop pupils’ mathematical literacy, circle geometry vocabulary and retrieval skills with this complete collection of Circle Geometry Maths Literacy Bingo games.

Designed for mixed-level KS3 and GCSE Mathematics, this interactive whole-class resource helps pupils become more confident when reading, hearing, interpreting and accurately using the mathematical language associated with circles and circle theorems.

The teacher displays one definition at a time using the included PowerPoint presentation. Pupils identify the corresponding mathematical term, check whether it appears on their individual bingo card and cross it off.

Pupils must interpret each definition before they can respond, making this an effective activity for developing both circle geometry knowledge and mathematical literacy.

Circle geometry vocabulary covered

The resource develops understanding of 20 relevant mathematical terms:

radius
diameter
circumference
area of a circle
centre
chord
arc
sector
segment
tangent
semicircle
construction
angle bisector
perpendicular bisector
circle theorem
cyclic quadrilateral
angle at the centre
angle in a semicircle
alternate segment theorem
equal tangents

The vocabulary ranges from foundational circle terminology to more demanding GCSE language connected with constructions and circle theorems.

What is included?
10 reusable Circle Geometry Bingo versions
20 mathematical definition clues per version
40 unique pupil cards per version
400 pupil cards supplied across the collection
Teacher-led PowerPoint caller presentation
