**Students examine the causes, events and consequences of the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876. **

  • Slide 1: Title slide
  • Slide 2: Bighorn Warm Up - How would the US Army have an advantage over the Sioux Warriors and how would the Sioux Warriors have an advantage over the US Army?
  • Slide 3-4: Starter - Students have a choice of two painting to discuss what they can infer from them about the Battle of Little Bighorn. Prompt questions included.
  • Slide 5: Map Analysis Starter - Students infer information about the Battle of Little Bighorn from a battle map.
