The whole AQA GCSE Business 8132 course turned into 36 retrieval sets of five questions. That is 180 questions with a full answer booklet, plus 76 projectable Do Now slides so you can run it without printing anything.

Every set is written to be answered from memory in about four minutes at the start of a lesson. The sets are spaced and interleaved on purpose: most of them end with a RECAP question pulled from a set several weeks earlier, which is the part that actually moves knowledge into long term memory.

What you get:

  • 36 numbered retrieval sets, 5 questions each, 180 questions in total, mapped across Year 10 and Year 11
  • A complete answer booklet, written in the plain sentences a Grade 4 to 6 student can reproduce under timed conditions
  • 76 PowerPoint slides, one question slide and one answer slide for every set, ready to project
  • A printable class tracking sheet, score out of five, set by set
  • A student page with every calculation formula in 8132 and what each command word is asking for
  • A spacing and interleaving map showing where each set sits in a two year route

Coverage: 3.1 Business in the real world, 3.2 Influences on business, 3.3 Business operations, 3.4 Human resources, 3.5 Marketing, 3.6 Finance. Paper 1 and Paper 2 content are both covered, and the map shows which paper each set feeds.

Calculations are built in and worked through: market share, average cost, mark-up, net cash flow and closing balance, revenue, total costs and profit, break-even and margin of safety, gross and net profit margins, and output per worker.

Also works as a homework booklet, one page a week, an intervention programme, a cover lesson that a non-specialist can run, or five sets a week from Easter so every student meets the whole specification twice before the papers.

If it saves you planning time, a star rating helps other teachers find it.
