This Year 3 Basketball Scheme of Work provides a progressive sequence of lessons designed to introduce pupils to the fundamental skills, tactics and rules of basketball through engaging, practical activities and game-based learning.

Across the unit, pupils develop confidence with the ball by learning to dribble, pass, shoot and defend before applying these skills in increasingly challenging game situations. Lessons encourage pupils to develop decision-making, teamwork, communication and tactical awareness whilst improving their physical literacy and understanding of invasion games.
