The Color Monster has always been an amazing story to transform into a sensory experience to meet my students’ needs and teach them about all the different emotions. However, I have found it to be quite confusing since we use the Zones of Regulation, where yellow does not correspond to happiness. I decided to tweak the feelings of the monster slightly to align with the Zones of Regulation, while also incorporating some sensory elements. I hope you enjoy it!
